ECHO SIXTY ONE GOLF DAY 2024

What a Day!! Yesterday 72 enthusiastic and competitive golfers gathered at Camberley Heath Golf Club for the inaugural Echo Sixty One Golf Day. We were so proud to be continuing our support of the Justin Edinburgh 3 Foundation, with many fundraising opportunities throughout the day.

Team from Spencer Scott with captain Glenn Hoddle

The day just wouldn’t have been possible without our headline sponsor; Spencer Scott Technology Recruitment, who also entered three teams for the day, each captained by one of our celebrity guests; Glenn Hoddle, Darren Anderton and Jody Morris. Thank you to Spencer, Sam and Callum for all your support for the day.

Each of our golfers were encouraged to dig deep for the Justin Edinburgh 3 Foundation, and join in with our six on course competitions. Once again, we would like to thank our competition sponsors; A Star Experience, M2M Direct, Naomi Gabrielle Photography, Sytner BMW Sunningdale and TaylorMade, who all donated absolutely amazing prizes really worth competing for!

It was brilliant to have live leaderboard scoring, provided by VPAR, so our teams could keep up to date with how well, or not, they were playing in both the team and individual competitions!

Peter 'Tubes' Dale , Charlie Edinburgh and Darren Sheen doing the Birdie Dance!

It was great to welcome Tubes with us yesterday playing on the Echo Sixty One x JE3 Foundation team… I don’t think our photographer was the only one who wanted to see that birdie dance… and a superb putt on the 14th delivered the perfect opportunity!!! Well played Tubes!

Charlie Edinburgh and Spencer Pratchett with Justin Edinburgh's Tottenham Legacy Shirt

After 18 holes of brilliant competition golf, it was back to the club house to share stories of their rounds and sit down to a stunning three course lunch. Our afternoon was hosted by none-other than Sky Sports Golf’s very own Jamie Weir, who added a hilarious brain taxing element to our usual game of heads and tails, as well as ensuring as much money as possible was squeezed out of the room in aid of The Justin Edinburgh 3 Foundation in our live auction, which comprised of entirely donated items including; holidays in the Algarve, premium tickets to sporting fixtures, four balls at some of Britains most exclusive courses and Justin Edinburghs Tottenham Legacy Number Shirt presented with images from his two winning cup finals and Justins authentic autograph.

Massive congratulations to all our winners for the day:

Gareth Richards (Abacus Employment) winning Nearest the Pin on hole 2

Neil Croghan (Hack Attack) taking Nearest the Line on hole 3

Fraser Eales (M2M Mad Dogs) winning our second Nearest the Pin on hole 8

Nick Lewis (Woburn Winkers) who was Nearest the Pin in Two on hole 12

Jack Parkhouse (Aspray London South & Basingstoke) who got to Nearest the Lake on hole 16...

But unfortunately no one got a Hole in One on the 14th hole, so the BMW X2 was driven back to Sunningdale instead of home with one of our golfers!

Larry Pearlman receives his prize from Charlie Edinburgh

Our Individual Winner was Larry Pearlman - taking home the Echo Sixty One Claret Jug, as well as a bottle of Champagne and Bar Voucher from Liqs Club in Ashtead.

Our hard fought Team Competition finished with 2 Girls 1 Put in third place with Aspray London South & Basingstoke taking second place on count back.

Our Champions were Latch Media, congratulations Tony, Michael, Carl and James!

Now the piece of news you have all been waiting for; it gives us a great amount of pride to announce that the day raised £9,135 for the Justin Edinburgh 3 Foundation! Thank you to each and every person who donated to help continue the great work the foundation are doing to raise awareness surrounding CPR and use of defibrillators. Please don’t forget you can help them as they continue their campaign for a legislative change to make ‘Justins Law’ a reality; where it will be a legal requirement for all health and sports facilities in the United Kingdom to be equipped with a defibrillator. Please sign the petition here!

Jamie Weir, Charlie Edinburgh, Darren Sheen and Spencer Pratchett with Charity Cheque for £9315 for the JE3 Foundation

Thank you again to everyone who was involved in the success of the day; all our sponsors, our sporting celebrities, the team at Camberley Heath Golf Club and our brilliant golfers!

How about we do it all again next year?!
